Whitehouse.gov before and after. Literally happened when Obama became President.
Shot in our kitchen yesterday, this was I think my 7th attempt. After about attempt #5 I tightened my chain, and that made all the difference.
Jamie of Digital Explorer fame was gracious enough to let me play with one of his Flip Video cameras over the holidays. I managed to mount it on my handlebars for the commute in this morning. Pretty shaky, not that exciting, but fun nonetheless.
It’s played back at 3x speed, so the 10 minute commute becomes about 3. My favourite part is about 2:45 in, when I trackstand for 50 seconds. Bosh!
The film “Fixed 2” was shot in and around London Fields, the park down the road from me. It’s where the lido is. It’s probably my favourite spot in London.
These videos completely capture my feeling about fixed bikes. Simply stunning.

As I continue my virtual housekeeping, I’ve moved this blog to it’s own subdomain (http://tumblr.johndwells.com), and have now put up a “holding page” on my main domain. There’s no guarantee this is a long-term look, but it’s hopefully a well-planted seed for what the future holds.
The important thing was to start “selling myself”. So this is me, out on the street corner, flashing some thigh and going to the highest bidder. Bless capitalism…
